Being someone who was diagnosed with a learning disability at a young age, while overcoming every obstacle with education and life I chose this great organization to show people all over the world and Canada that you can be successful with the right support system around you.Derrick Moncrief
My time at LDAS was an experience I will forever hold dear to my heart! I didn’t know what to expect, but I was determined to get my GED. I quit school at the age of 16 and ran away from home to be with my siblings in Saskatoon. I did try to go back to school at 18 years old, however as a new mother who was addicted to morphine, I was not able to manage it. I am now 40 years old and can happily say I got my GED and have been off IV drugs for 10 years. The staff at LDAS have been extremely helpful, compassionate, and they really want people to succeed. During these months I have gained friendships with some really great people. What is next for me is post-secondary, hopefully in social work, victim services or outreach. Thank you so much to the staff here at this amazing school. I'm so proud of myself I can scream!!!!!Mary
My experience here at LDAS was an awesome one because the staff is so helpful and understanding. Everyone here is so awesome to be around which made coming to class more enjoyable. The staff here are so understanding and patient with everyone. When I asked for a time away to be with my little ones, they allowed this and accepted me back when I was ready, which was a being relief because here I am a graduate.Felix
So today is a pretty big day for me. Today I completed my GED at LDAS. I am really proud of myself for completing the course and getting my GED. For anyone looking or don’t know where to start, I recommend applying at LDAS. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming. The classes are not crazy big so you will get a lot of support from your instructors. I just want to say thank you for accepting me when I applied. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without you guys. THANK YOUJared
I want to thank all the staff at LDAS for helping me with achieving my goals. My tie being here was a great learning experience. I et a lot of nice people and made lifelong friends. To Rona for understanding me and being there for everyone who walked through the doors at LDAS. I want to thank all the staff who encourages everyone here not to give up and to keep going because it was never too late to get your education.April
I came into LDAS with low confidence and no expectation in getting my GED, but when I got here, I had the best support system. The teachers and students made this an experience I’ll never forget! Now I am a graduate, and it was all thanks to LDAS!Demetria
For seven months I had worked towards my goal of getting my GED and along the way I have met some of my inspirations in the teachers and students. We pushed each other every day and became close in our friendships. Without all the support and laughs every day I think I wouldn’t have been able to achieve my goal. Thank you LDAS, for all that you’ve done. I will always remember the encouragement and support in my work skills and now I can put the to use when I further my education.Trina
I would like to thank LDAS for such a great opportunity for the experience of being able to receive my GED. Thanks to LDAS for their efforts in helping students like me to be able to strive with confidence and become an active member of society. I also want to give appreciation to the staff for having the hard work and dedication to help me pursue the GED. With their endless contributions to helping me succeed, I am pleased to say I received my Grade 12 equivalency through the Learning Disabilities Association of Saskatchewan.Janine
